Happy 10 Months!

I know I'm a little late but a lot has been going on aroud here.
Donovan turned 10 MONTHS on Saturday!
I can not believe he will be 1 years old, in 2 more months.
Time has definitely flown by.

I am thankful for...

-Donovan doing his stanky leg crawl all over the place.

-the disaster he creates with everything on my bookshelf.

- all the times he pulls my hair& glasses

-the smile he puts on my face each & every day.

Happy 10 Months to my happy, handsome boy!

there's always a first time for everything

Monday was Donovan's 1st day of school (day care).
He is growing up entirely tooo fast for me. It makes me really sad &
think about when he was just a tiny tiny baby.
But then again, I can not be any more proud to see & tell people how much
he has changed and grown. He's my big boy! (:

{So happy to go to school!}

I was sad & scared to send him to school because I'm so used to coming home
after school to see him & I didn't want other kids bullying him.
I had work on Monday, so Santiago went to pick him up & his teacher said
that my Donzie IS THE BULLY!
He crawled around and took away toys from all the kids & threw them
across the room so they couldn't play with them!
I found it funny but I know we're going to have to work on his social skills.

He went back on Tuesday & was so good. He really enjoys it.
When we leave him, he turns and looks at us, smiles and then crawls off to play.
His teacher said that at breakfast, she tried feeding him cereal (which he doesn't like) &
apple sauce. He gave her a "are you stupid?" face & refused to eat anymore.
He is such a character.

Yesterday& Wednesday, Donovan woke up with a fever and a minor cold.
This is his 1st time getting sick & he was very fussy.
There's always a first time for everything.
He went to the doctor on Wednesday & there isn't much they could do to help
him because he still too young for medication, so he stayed home for two days.

Today, Donovan is back at school & was excited to return.
Hopefully today he will be his happy self again but not so much of a bully!

I now have to go take care of Santiago because he caught Donovan's sickness.
Hope everyone has a Happy Friday& a wonderful weekend!

A Family & Friend Filled Weekend!

My little family & I spent the weekend in Palacios
with family & friends. It was such a great weekend!
Donovan, Cristal & I made our way to Blessing to see my Tio & Tia.
My beautiful cousin Mari joined us later with her two pretty girls & my
Dad showed up as well. We discuessed all the details of my graduation party.
I  can't believe graduation is almost HERE!!! eeeekkk!!!
The whole planning was so funny because my Dad & Mari always butt heads!
It's always comical to see my Dad & his nieces discuss things! They basically tell him like it is.

On Saturday, Donovan & I attended Sinco's Baby Shower.
I had a great time catching up with all my friends. There is just something about
catching up & seeing how much old friends have changed that makes me happy & smile.
On the other hand, Donovan most likely had the best time!
Donovan got to meet & be spoiled by his twinzie, Lindsay.
I can not tell you how much he loves her, no joke!

She overdosed him with cupcakes, sprite & love.

{He had such a great time & fell asleep!}

The ladies & I later caught up at PMR.
Hopefully we can have another girls hangout soon.

Earlier in the morning, I took graduation pictures with Miss Lisa.
She did an absolutely wonderful job on takimg my pictures!
I really enjoyed it & love how all the pictures turned out!
Thank you Miss Lisa for being patient & for taking my pictures.
Here are a few....

On Sunday we just hung out around the house & a made trip to Port Lavaca.
Santiago met some people he will be making beats for.
He's got a feeling big things are gonna come from this.
I just hope that he stays positive & continues to do what he loves.

I am so thankful for such an amazing weekend.
Hopefully there are many more family & friend filled weekends to come!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub Donovan in the tub!

Lately, Donovan has been enjoying his baths.
He likes to splash all the water out& grab everything in his reach.

{He even tries to crawl out!}

{He's so silly!}

{Little ducky getting all dried up}

{happy [to spit up on t.u.]& clean}

I can not believe how fast he is growing up.
He turned 9 months a few days ago.
He is crawling all over the place. Sometimes its so hard to keep up with him.

 Happy Belated 9 months to my handsome boy!

Relaxing Weekend

It's been crazy busy around here lately. I haven't had much time to blog.
I started summer school last Tuesday. 8 a.m. classes are not fun!
But I am hanging in there for a month & a half, so that I can finally graduate in August.
So please keep me in your prayers that I will make it through the summer. +

This past weekend we went to Palacios to take care of some family business
& to celebrate Miles' & Lizi's accomplishments.
Miles graduated from the "other" school in Texas. (t.u) (SSSSSS!)
& Lizi graduated from Palacios High School.  Best of luck to the both of them as they
both start a new chapter in their lives.
I also got to see Nancy, Christie, Son, & other friends while in town, but sadly
 I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked to.

We spent the rest of the time in the pool at my Mom's house. We had occasional visitors throughout our stay.
Popo Chilo came to visit & brought Donovan his new car seat.
Uncle John came & went throughout the weekend.
& of course Tata was always over at the house enjoying Donovan.

(I'm so terrible... I didn't take a single picture because I was too
busy enjoying the little break I had from my 1st exhausting week at school)

I am so thankful for such a relaxing weekend in Palacios &
for the time spend with my family & friends.
Donovan & Santiago really enjoyed the time away from home.
Hopefully we will enjoy many more weekends like this one.

A little fun & some good news

Today has been filled with fun & good news.

After work yesterday I bought Donovan some new snacks to try. I was so excited because I thought he'd love them.  What little guy wouldn't love some new snacks? Apparently my son.
I bought him two types of Gerber's Graduate Fruit Puffs & Lil' Crunchies & he didn't like any of them.
I've asked the doctor why he doesn't want to eat fruit or cereal and she says that he has more defined taste buds. Santiago & I can see that because all he wants is vegetables along with spaghetti sauce, guacamole, sour cream and mashed potatoes. We let him try our food every now and then.

Santiago got a call today from the Art Institute in Houston. He has an interview tomorrow for the Audio Production program. If you don't already know, he is very passionate about producing music & is beyond excited for this opportunity. I wish him all the luck possible & pray that he does well in his interview tomorrow.

As for me, my good news is that I got into all the classes I needed this summer so that I can GRADUATE in August! Yep, I said it & you read it. I will officially be graduating from Texas A&M in August. WHOOP!

And for the little fun today, we went swimming over at Vanessa & Jack's apartment. We have been pestering them for a few days now & finally they invited us over to swim! (:
This is his 1st time swimming & we know there will be many more to come.
Donovan enjoyed chilling in his floating tube.
He seriously "chilled," leaning back with his feet up in his baby tube.

{No baby is cooler than him.}

{Happy Big Boy!}

{Look at his 2 little teeth!}

{Splashing away}

{drying up}

Donovan had such a great time & is now really tired & falling asleep as I am writing this. We will definitely be getting some sleep tonight.(: We are very thankful that we had such a wonderful day & hopefully you did too.

Happy 8 Months!!

 Donovan is 8 months today!

Pretty soon he'll be 1 years old! Time has flown by so quick.
He has discovered his voice & is now constantaly screaming at the top of his lungs.
He enjoys playing in his play pen.
He's a funny little guy.
He plays in his crib and patiently waits for me & daddy to wake up at 10 a.m. (:
He is always happy & smiles when he sees us.
We are truly blessed & thankful to have him in our lives.
